Lost Ark is a Korean MMORPG game. The developer is Tripod Studio and Smilegate RPG. The game launched in 2019 in Korea and became available in the CIS countries in the same year. The official publisher of the Russian version of Lost Ark is My.Games, which is the gaming division of Mail.Ru Group. The game is for PC only. On February 11 this year, the game was successfully released on Steam and became one of the most popular games.


The style of the game refers to fantasy with the addition of steampunk. The world is called Akrasia, and the player is offered to save it from the demonic invasion. Around this, the main plot will be built. But there is also a lot of additional content in the game - Both PVE and PVP.

2. Basic Game Mechanics

The game has a huge variety of content. A significant part of the periodic (daily, weekly, and long) events take place on the islands. But there are also separate locations and zones where the character gets through special teleports. These places include the main resource extraction zone.



3. Craft and resource extraction

The crafting system is quite simple. It is enough to collect the necessary resource and upgrade the corresponding skill. There are six peaceful professions in the game:

  • Herbalism;
  • Hunting;
  • Logging;
  • Fishing;
  • Mining engineering;
  • Archeology.


The levels of each profession are raised for special points that the character gains by doing the corresponding thing. Resources can be found in the open world or in special zones that are only accessible a few times a day.



Class System

Each character starts the game with one of 5 basic archetypes:

  • Warrior;
  • Monk;
  • Shooter;
  • Assassin;
  • Mag.


As you complete story missions, the character will be asked to choose a specialization in the archetype. In each case, there are 3 to 5 additional classes. To speed up the passage of missions, you can buy Lost Ark Boosting.



PVP Content

Lost Ark's open-world has no PVP. The game is more designed to participate in peaceful events than confrontation between characters. All battles between players take place either within arenas or in special activities. The main types of confrontations:

  • Arena 3x3;
  • Lists - 1x1 battle in turn by sides of 3 characters;
  • Royal battle for six fighters.

PVE Content

The game highlights the abundance of research content in the world. This will be a big plus for those who like to look into every corner. The game has classic dungeons, timed activities, solo, and group. Of particular interest are the battles with the bosses - the Guardians.
